Famous Guests Coming to Peoria

PEORIA – The Peoria Historical Society is welcoming six legendary Americans to a gala luncheon at 10:00 AM, Saturday April 12 at the Peoria Civic Center Ballroom. Costumed interpreters will portray six famous people, including Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass, Teddy Roosevelt, Charles Lindbergh, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and Lady Bird Johnson.

Each person will give his/her impression of Peoria accompanied by period entertainment provided by Metamora Court House Civil War Dancers, Gospel music by Val Pierce, Pete Driscoll’s Ragtime Piano, the Lindy Hop Dancers, and Folk Music by Bob Drake, Paul Hamilton, and Linda Blossom.. There will also be a vendor boutique featuring local shops and vendors. Tickets are $40.
